How to Draw Ghost Rider
Step 1
In the first step of our Ghost Rider drawing guide, we’ll start with what is perhaps his most recognizable feature: his flaming skull head.
For this step you may want to enlarge our example image exactly as the skull part of the design has some intricate details.
Their eye sockets will also have small circles to create the eye effect that we will color in later. Once you’ve recreated the skull, you can use some wavy lines for the flames around its head.
Step 2
For this second part of your Ghost Rider drawing, we’ll start by drawing his iconic leather biker jacket.
We’re going to use some rounded lines that connect directly to the flames around his head to draw the collar and the beginning of the jacket. Then we use straight lines to extend his shoulders and then start the sleeves of his jacket as well.
You can finish off this step by adding little spikes to his shoulders to make him look even cooler!
Step 3
Now you can draw even more of his arms and chest in this step of our guide on how to draw a Ghost Rider.
You can stretch out your left arm a bit and then draw the first part of his chest with straight and slightly curved lines.
His other arm will be angled, which means we’ll be using a lot more curved lines to create the folds in the jacket sleeve.
There will be more spikes around his forearm, and then his fist will clutch a chain.
Step 4
You’ve drawn a hand and forearm for your Ghost Rider drawing and we’ll add the other in the next step.
Similar to the other forearm, it is spiked and leads into a clenched fist.
He will also be holding a chain in this hand and we will add more details to this chain in the next step.
Step 5
The next step of our Ghost Rider drawing guide may require some patience, but it will be worth it!
We have already drawn his hands holding the chains and in this part we show the length of the chain between his hands. The reason this requires some patience is because the various links need to be backtracked.
Next we will finish this step by drawing the two belts he wears. He must have a soft spot for spikes because there are spikes on his belt too!
Step 6
We’ll finish your Ghost Rider drawing by drawing his legs in this step and the next. First we draw the leg on the left side.
His biker pants are quite tight, so we’re going to use some smooth, curved lines to draw this first leg. Next, to finish off, we draw his boot on the lower leg.
Step 7
In this seventh step of our Ghost Rider drawing guide, you’ll finish off by drawing the other leg.
This one will look very similar to the first one, except at a slightly different angle. After you’ve drawn both legs, make sure to draw any background details and additional characters you want for this image!
Step 8
At this final stage of your Ghost Rider drawing, you can complete it by adding some eye-catching colors.
There is quite a color contrast with this character as most of his clothing is dark black, but then he also has the bright yellows and oranges of his flaming head. We also incorporated a bit of orange into her dress to bring out the fire reflected in it.
We colored her eye sockets black and then used orange for the dots inside for a really cool look.
One way to color this is to use a firmer medium like colored markers for her suit and then use watercolor paints for the flames to soften them.
