200 OK: 200 Ok is a response code that indicates that the request was successful.

301 Permanently Moved: 301 Permanently Moved is the URL redirect.

302 Found: 302 Found This response code is for temporary redirection.

404 not found: 404 not found is a response code that indicates that requested resources are unavailable.

500 Internal server error: 500 internal server error is a generic error message.


Above The Fold: Above the fold refers to an area on a website that’s immediately visible after the page loads. These areas should be kept up-to-date.

Accelerated mobile pages (AMP): Accelerated mobile pages (AMP), an open-source project from Google, allow publishers to load pages quickly on mobile devices.

Ads: Formerly AdWords: Google Ads is a Google advertising platform that uses Pay Per Click (PPC). It allows users to buy ads across Google Advertising Networks.

Affiliate Program: A program where a seller receives a commission from Merchant based upon sales, leads, or traffic to their website.

The Algorithm: This is a set rule that solve problems based on calculations. Google uses many algorithms. Google uses PageRank to rank websites in its search engine.

Alt text: Alt text is a text/phrase in an image ( ) tag to substitute text. It is one of the ranking elements. Alt text must be include in every image on your website.

Anchor Tag: An anchor Tag is an HTML tag. It’s used to create hyperlinks using anchor text.

Archives: Archives are a collection of blog posts that have been previously published.

Aweber: Aweber allows bloggers to send out e-mail newsletters to their subscribers using a popular paid email marketing tool.


Backend: Backend refers to the administrative section of the blog. This area is typically manage by the user who has a username or password. It is the area that visitors and users can’t see.

Backlinks: Backlinks refer to incoming links from websites or pages. The ranking is a huge part of backlinks. It can improve your website page rank and other aspects.

Black Hat SEO: Black Hat is a method to increase your ranking without following search engine guidelines. It is aggressive. White Hat SEO is the best.

Bounce Rate: Bounce rate is the Analytics percentage where a visitor leaves a landing page and returns without visiting any other pages. The higher the bounce rate percentage, the more boring your pages will be.

Breadcrumb: Breadcrumb forms part of the ranking factor. It’s a collection of links that will navigate you to the page you are viewing starting at the homepage.

Broken Links: Broken Links refer to hyperlinks that are delete.It could lead to 404 errors.


Captcha: Captcha, a computer program that distinguishes between a human and a robot is called Captcha. It is used to stop spam from websites.

Category: Category refers to a division or class. To make content more meaningful in blogging, we group or sort it according to the respective categories. It’s useful for navigation.

CMS stands for Content Management System: It is software that allows you to manage websites and blogs. WordPress is a popular CMS for managing content.

Content Distribution Network: A content delivery network ( CDN ) is a geographically distribute network that includes proxy servers and data centers. 

Crawl/ Crawling: Crawling refers to the process by which search engines make bots that index web pages based on meta tags you’ve used (Index or no Index).


Deindex / Deindexing: Deindexing is the process by which web pages are remove from search results.

Domain Authority DA: The Domain Authority metric was developed by Moz. It predicts the domain name’s power. It uses a score between 0 and 100.

Do-follow link: All links are by default Dofollow. Dofollow is an integral part of the PageRank algorithm. DoFollow links are from sites with higher authority. Search engines will then pass the link juice to your website.

Duplicate content: When the same article on multiple web pages, it is Duplicate content.


External Link: External links are hyperlinks that point to websites outside your domain.


Footers, it’s the bottom of web pages. It often contains contact information, copyright links, and other pertinent information.

Front End This is where web visitors can see all information when they visit any URL.


Google AdSense: Google AdSense by Google is a PPC-based Advertisement program.

Google Analytics: It allows you to analyze, track and report on website traffic.
